Self-Organizing Team and the Evaporating Manager?

Organization Models keep evolving over time. When the tech sector started to boom, it borrowed the principles of organizational model from the industrial era. However, in today’s world, if the next jump in organizational effectiveness has to happen, the model has to shift.

The shift is getting induced from multiple directions:

- The knowledge era paradigm

- The new generation of employees

- The cost models.

In this session, we will explore the evolution of the organization model – which results in self-organizing team. The consequent impact on the manager’s role. Does this mean, the team of the future will not need a manager? So, what should the manager of today prepare for? Or, is this going to be a passing fad?
