Topic Description:

With the growing number of complex projects and continuously evolving requirements and demanding customers and tight delivery time lines, there is a new school of thought that the traditional PM skills may not yield required results. New Age PM is expected to play a much broader role in terms of covering different aspects of an engagement.

While doing so, it has been observed that the business knowledge that the PM possesses and his/her personality itself play a crucial role in the final delivery and smooth running of the overall engagement.

Even Forrester Research has come up with its own recommendations on new skills required for a PM.

This session speaks briefly about what are the areas of Business which PM should be aware and what are the implications of not being aware. The session also tries to highlight implications of PMs personality on final delivery.

Expected Take-away:

• What is expected out of New Age PM in terms of Business Knowledge
• How PM’s personality affects project delivery positively and vice versa.
• The session helps the audience while selecting candidates from existing pool for critical engagements
• It provides good insight into skills to look for while conducting PM interviews
