Profile of Speaker:
Mr. Lokesh is Managing Director and Innovation & IP Management Practitioner at Innomantra. He brings with him more than 20 years of professional experience in innovation management, intellectual property management, New Product Development.
Prior to Innomantra, he managed innovation and intellectual property activities at Larsen & Toubro. He began his career with the Medical Equipment and Systems Group at L&T where he spent 12 years in mechanical design and development, Strategic Planning. At Innomantra, Lokesh has worked with clients in a wide range of sectors including Automotive, Industrial Equipment Manufacturing, Information Technology, Engineering Services, Medical Electronics and Consumer Goods in the areas of Intellectual Property Management and Innovation Management.
Lokesh has chaired and participated as speaker, juror in several Innovation & IPR conferences and seminars. He has delivered guest lectures at institutions like IISc Bangalore, IIM Indore and BITS-Pilani. Lokesh, a Mechanical Engineer and Member and Secretary at Institution of Engineering & Technology has an MBA in Marketing and PG Diploma in Intellectual Property Law from National Law School of India University (NLSIU).

The Functional Innovation Methodology (FI) is an integrated approach to creative ideation and problem solving which incorporates aspects from several well known ideation and problem solving techniques.
In the 1960s, Swiss Physicist Fritz Zwicky developed the method of ‘Morphological Analysis’ for complex problems. Around the same time, Soviet Scientist Genrich Altshuller formulated a method for systematic problem solving after reviewing more than 40,000 patent abstracts.
The prerequisite for innovation to happen in individual or in an organisation are Domain knowledge, Task Motivation and Creative skills. This programme will enhance the creative skills to systematically approach innovation.
