Did you know?
Q : What does the term "Boring under Chicago" mean?
A :Elon Musk's The Boring Company could soon have their first commercial product off the ground, or, should I say under it. The City of Chicago has just chosen Musk's company to fund, build and operate two underground tunnels to connect the Chicago O'Hare airport, one of the world's busiest, to downtown Chicago. The tunnels would have electric pods built by Tesla running every 30 seconds or so, carrying up to 16 passengers and luggage at speeds of 150 Kms per hour. It is slated to reduce the average time taken to go to airport from downtown from 40 to 12 min. The next stage is contract negotiation and if the necessary approvals come on time, Musk expects construction to start in 4 months and finish by two years. Remember that it's not the hyperloop, another exciting idea that Musk has of using electromagnetic pulses to transport passengers at supersonic speeds.
