PM Footprints: During the month of June 2015 two Footprints sessions were held. On 11th June 2015, Mr. S. Chandrasekhar, Program Director and an Independent consultant, spoke on the topic “Building better products with Agile”. It was a nice experience sharing session on Agile transformation in a product development organisation. The talk focused on process transformation, Agile and good product development, how Agile helped build a better product, and impact of Agile Project Management on senior management, product teams and quality. On 25th June 2015, Mr. S. Ramani, Managing Director GRT Consulting LLP, spoke on the topic ” Change Management in Projects — Why is it important? “. The talk focused on what needs to be done to make the enterprise wide transformation projects/ programs more successful by addressing the cultural and people issues concerning change. This session was also well attended and well received by the participants.
Agile Foundation Program: A two day program on Agile was held on 27th and 28th June 2015. Nearly 13 participants from various organisations took part in the program..
Corporate Connect: (a) On 1st June 2015, the Chapter President, Mr. Murali Santhanam, inaugurated the first five day PMP Workshop organized by Society of Defence Technologists (S.O.D.E.T). a society under the Ministry of Defence, Govt. of India. S.O.D.E.T is an umbrella organization for 09 Defence PSUs and Ordnance Factories to interact and work towards strengthening the Defence Forces by pooling the resources and working together to achieve self-reliance. As part of their effort to advocate PM practices and enable their officers to get PMP Certified, SODET organized this 35 contact hours program wherein 40 employees from all over India participated. The Chapter also provided the facilitator who organised the session with the rest of the faculty drawn from BEL, BEML and HAL..

(b) On 24th June 2015, the Chapter joined hands for the second time with Enterprise Group (EG) India R & D, HP and organized at their Mahadevapura premises a talk on “Creating Magic Performance through Project and Program Managers” by Ms. Manjula Dharmalingam. The talk, an initiative of the Program Management group at HP, brought in external speakers for their Program Managers and Project Managers was well received. An audience of 60 PM practitioners not only from HP but also selected practitioners from ABB, CISCO, Fermata Consulting, Huawei, Robert Bosch, Spaneous Software and UIDAI attended the session.
PM Enrich: A one day workshop on “Leadership Challenges in Agile Transformation” was held on 27th June 2015. The program was conducted by Mr. J. Veeraraghavan and Mr. Vishweshwar Hegde. Both are well-known thought leaders and speakers in the areas of Agile and Project Management. The program was attended by 15 participants from various organizations..
