Did you know?
Q : This is the new technology for connections expected to overshadow existing wireless network connections.
A :5G or 5th Generation Wireless Systems are coming in 2018. Though the technology that should earn the moniker “5G” is debated, we are being promised speeds up to 10 times the current LTE networks. 5G will run on a new “high-spectrum band”, which uses higher frequency signals than 4G. All major players globally – T-Mobile, Verizon, Softbank and AT&T – have been aggressively deploying millimeter wave multiple-input and multiple-output (MIMO) infrastructure to bring home the insanely crazy speeds later this year. The infrastructure costs for the companies are touted to be lower because the network is delivered through wireless. But do we need 5G? It is predicted by analysts that by the year 2020, there will be a boom in personal connected devices. There will be 50 billion connected devices worldwide like smartphones, tablets, smartwatches, fridges, cars and even smart clothes.
