Details of various activities held by the Chapter during the month of December 2018 are as follows:
PM Footprints Anniversary Celebrations: The chapter celebrated the 12th Anniversary of the PM Footprints on 1st December 2108 at the Pride Hotel, Bengaluru.
The first speaker Mr. Mohan Krishnaraj, Vice President and Global Head, User Experience of HARMAN International (A Samsung Company) spoke on the topic “Managing stress through Music“.
During the Second session Ms. Deepthi Rajan, Head- Technology upskilling of Societe Generale, spoke on the topic “IoT Adoption Trends and Challenges in India”
The Celebrations was attended by nearly 120 Members and past speakers. The past session speakers were honored on that day with a token memento.
PMP Fundamentals for NGOs: On 8th December 2018 the Chapter held a one-day Workshop for NGOs at Embassy Golf links Business Park. Nearly 25 members from various NGOs participated in the Workshop. They were given an Insight into PM Concepts, PM work book, Expert Address, Workshop, and one Case study. The feedback from the participants has been Good. It may be recalled that this was the second program being held this year.
PM Footprints: During the month one PM Footprint session was held. On 13th December 2018, Mr. Yashasvi Rayakar, Director and Head of Automation, of Opteamix LLC spoke on the topic “Robotic Process Automation”.
E&C Footprints: The Footprints session of the E&C forum was held on 15th December 2018. The first talk for the day was by Mr. Rajkumar Jayanth, Chartered Accountant, of Raj Babu and Associates, Chartered Accountants. He spoke on the topic “GST on contractors”.
During the second session, Mr. R Sateesh Kumar, Chairman, Neyo Group, spoke on the topic “Value Management and Value Engineering”.
Both the talks were well attended and received.
Saturday PM Footprints: On 22nd December 2018 a PM Footprints session was held at 0900 hrs.
at Hotel Royal Orchid Manipal center. The event comprised of talk by two speakers.
The first speaker Mr. K Raghunatha, an Independent Consultant, spoke on the topic “Data Analytics in Project Management”.
The second speaker Ms. Cini Mathew, Vice President SAP Labs India Ltd., spoke on the topic “Strategic Gantt Chart for Leadership”. Both the talks were well attended and received.
PMP QUEST: The PMP QUEST training classes on PMBOK-6 edition was held on 8th, 9th, 15th and 16th December 2018.
Agile Foundation: Agile Foundation course was held on 25th August 2018.
PM Fundamentals for NGO’s: Project Management is a science as much an Art. Everyone is involved in projects either formally or informally, large or small, commercial or not-for-profit, the underlying principles of managing the projects remain same. With this objective, the chapter conducted a half-day program on 18th August 2018. It was well received. Nearly 30 members from 12 NGOs attended. Our Volunteers Ms. Sujatha Sahu and Mr. Balakumar C., facilitated this program. Our Past President Mr. Vijay Paul took the participants through a Case study.
