With a reach of 2.9 million professionals, 500,000 members in almost all the countries of the world with an objective of advancement of project management profession; PMI was established in 1969 as a global non-profit organization. As PMI celebrates its 50th anniversary it’s a moment of great pride for PMI Bangalore India Chapter as we have also been serving the community for 20 years now.

50th Anniversary

While we are proud to be the largest chapter in India and second largest in Asia; the journey started with a modest beginning in the year 1999. Three like-minded professionals took a visionary approach and laid the foundation stone of chapter. Since then there was no looking back and Bangalore chapter flourished on the aegis of healthy industry connect, strong commitment and with a social objective of strengthening the function and discipline of project management.

As PMI launched its most coveted & popular credential – PMP in 1984; the global non-profit organization was trying to establish itself as one of the premier organizations on project management. This was an effort to bring professionalism and standardization in the areas of project management. The need was global and was well anticipated and required at regional and local levels.

Registered in 1999, PMI Bangalore India Chapter is serving not only in the areas of advancement of profession but also act as a catalyst in introducing project management to multiple streams of society – NGOs, Academia (Students, Educational Institutes) etc.
