Tanish Mathur

Tanish Mathur is a PMI Bangalore Chapter Board member and has managed several portfolios. He also works as an AVP in HSBC. Tanish has two copyrights to his name in the space of Innovation & Decision Making and has keen interest in emerging technologies like Blockchain.

It’s a matter of great pride for us that our President of the PMI Bangalore India Chapter, Lt Col L Shri Harsha, Retd, PgMP , PMP , has been honored with a PMI global award, the 2019 Eric Jenett Project Management Award at the North America Leadership Meeting and Conference of Project Management Institute, in Philadelphia on 05 October 2019.

He is the 3rd professional from India to receive this award.

The PMI Eric Jenett Project Management Excellence Award recognizes and honors an individual who has made outstanding contributions to the project management profession or its practice through leadership, technical project management, and strategic and business management acumen.

Col Harsha has earned this award by virtue of his allround contribution to the project management profession – practice, advocacy, knowledge sharing and volunteering.

As a project management professional, he has managed and successfully delivered many projects under challenging conditions all over the world. He has led large teams of diverse disciplines, located across multiple locations, which is a testimony of his project management skills. As a leader, he has displayed excellent strategic acumen by planning p r o j e c t s a n d executing them with perfection.

Col Harsha shares his experiences with fellow professionals t o i m p r o v e performance. He has written over thirty papers on a variety of topics ranging from strategic planning, financial governance, people management and risk management, where he has weaved the aspect of project management in every domain. He also delivers keynote addresses in conferences to share his experiences of the best project management practices and how he has leveraged them at work.

As part of giving back to the profession, Col Harsha also devotes part of his energy and time to educate government officials on the global practices of project management and how they can use these principles to deliver better services to the public. He has been working with the Govt of Karnataka and Govt of India through their various initiatives, and enabling the government officials with global best practices. He is considered an authority on project management and contract management, and his advice is sought by various departments on these matters.

As a volunteer, he devotes his time and energy in community services and has contributed significantly to the PMI Bangalore India Chapter and the global community. He is on the board of PMI Bangalore India Chapter since 2014, and is currently the President of the Chapter, which incidentally is also an award winning chapter. As you all know, the Bangalore PMI Chapter was awarded as the Best Chapter 2019 in the Category III – Large Chapters.
