Wish you a Happy New Year!
When we look back at 2019, the value that we have added to the Eco system gives us a sense of satisfaction. We conducted various events, enabled NGOs to deliver projects more efficiently by skilling their teams with an awareness of the fundamentals of project management, conducted training in educational institutions apart from professional courses like ACP, PMP, Artificial Intelligence (AI) for Business, Block chain in BFSI, Foot prints etc., to enable our project management fraternity. In recognition of our efforts, we were awarded the coveted Best Chapter award in 2019 among the large chapter category. The accolades continued with our chapter president Lt Col L Shri Harsha, Retd being honored with the prestigious PMI Eric Jenett Project Management Excellence Award in recognition of his commitment and contribution to the profession of project management. Col Harsha is the 3rd person from India to receive this prestigious award.
What a great year we had. This was all possible with your support. Thank you!
As we look ahead, the chapter has great events planned in 2020. We are excited about the one day workshop on Leadership development that is being organized on the 08 Feb 2020. This one day workshop is being conducted by a team of renowned facilitators travelling from US to Bangalore. The chapter will also be hosting the Project Management National Conference 2020 in Sep 2020. As usual this means that you get an opportunity to network with a larger number of project management professionals from across the country, listen to great speakers, and most importantly support the event by volunteering to be part of the execution team. Apart from this a host of other exciting events are lined up. So continue to visit our chapter web page to learn about these events and don’t forget to support us with your active participation. The annual event calendar for the year 2020 has already been posted on the web page for your reference.
Another major change that has happened in 2020 is that the PM Footprints & the E & C Footprints sessions will now be held on the 2nd Saturday of the month. Second Saturday being a holiday for all banks, government offices and most schools also, the pressure of personal and family commitments will not come in the way of you devoting some quality time for your professional growth and networking. We do hope that this change will be a great motivating factor to continue your learning with us.
The transition from 2019 to 2020 has also brought six new faces in the chapter leadership teams. So be rest assured that you can expect many great and innovative ways to stay connected with the chapter.
So let’s join hands and make 2020 a great and satisfying year.
Thanks and Best Wishes
Subramanyam Krishnamurthy (Mani), PMP
