Currently both play key roles in converting a business idea into reality to market, by successfully accomplishing the required outcomes, transitioning from strategy to execution. However with the rise of digital transformation, the gap between project and product management is narrowing pretty fast. In today’s highly competitive market, Products that are faster to market, addressing the right user needs & providing additional value to customers are critical for the Business success. About the speaker
Bala is a Product & Program management professional with 20 plus years of experience in Healthcare industry, with expertise in managing the design, development & lifecycle management of Medical Product portfolios. He is currently, Director at GE Healthcare leading the indigenously developed Computed tomography (CT) scanners for the emerging & developed markets.
He is responsible for driving large scale new product introductions, planning of next generation product roadmap and providing strategic leadership across cross functional teams to accomplish business goals.
He holds a post-graduation in Mechanical Engineering and an MBA in Technology Management. Bala is a certified Project management professional (PMP), Certified product manager (CPM) and also holds certification in Agile program management such as Product owner (CSPO), Scrum master (CSM) and SAFe Agilist (SA). He is currently Board of director, Vice president – Marketing & Communications and Head, Financial sub-committee at PMI Bangalore India chapter.
